Misty Gates Immigration Program

Misty Gates is a successful, wealthy country because its citizens are hard- working individuals. Misty Gates welcomes anyone that has the desire and determination to succeed; no criminals are allowed. The strength of our citizens, residents, and visitors make Misty Gates a wonder nation to live in and visit. Because our nation is wealthy, many people have the desire to migrate to Misty Gates. However, in order to stay prosperous, I have created rules that everyone must meet in order to enter our wonderful island. The rules in place will create equal opportunity for everyone to continue to make this island powerful. Visas will be available to allow employers fill jobs in many sectors of our economy. I wouldn’t want people to risk their lives trying to come to my country. Without harming the economic security of my people, my immigration rules will create a system that is fair and compassionate.
Below is a brief break down of my rules.

  1. Protect the Island from Criminals: This program will do criminal background checks on everyone who wants to enter our island. I will also have agreements with all the boats/ferries leaving and entering our island to prevent illegal entry or they will get in trouble with me.
  2. Protect our Economy: When no Gainian (a misty gate citizen) worker is available and willing to take a job, the program should provide a labor supply for Misty Gates employers.
  3. Promote Student Visitors: An internet-based system will be in place to keep track and monitor foreign students and exchange visitors.
  4. Temporary Worker Program: I propose to offer temporary worker visas to everyone in foreign countries who have a desire to work in Misty Gates. The workers with temporary visas will pay a one-time fee to register in the program, follow the nation’s rules, and return home after their work is done.
Gainians come first: Employers must make every effort to find a Gainian to fill a job before giving it to foreign workers.
Companies that break the law and hire foreign workers will pay hefty penalties.
Some temporary workers will want to remain in Misty Gates, (who wouldn’t) and pursue citizenship. Those who choose the path of citizenship will have an obligation to learn the facts and ideals that have shaped Misty Gate’s history.
The temporary visa program will make our economy more prosperous. The program would allow workers to find jobs and employers to find workers, quickly and simply.
This program will also promote security to our Island. We will identify everyone and make clear of what his or her intentions are.
  5. Return to Home Country: The program will require the return of temporary workers to their home country after their visa expires or before if there is no work available. This visa will allow a maximum time of 4 years. However, it’s renewable, and would have an end. Workers will be allowed to come and go to their home country so they can maintain their culture.
  6. Promote Compassion: The program should grant visas to working hard-working single mothers to prevent exploitation. Mothers will receive a temporary worker card that will allow them to travel back and forth between their home and Misty Gates without fear.
